Marina del Rey is sailing into 2026 with fresh experiences, exciting renovations, and new attractions that spotlight its evolution while staying true to its laid-back coastal vibe. As the destination celebrates its 60th anniversary year, visitors will find plenty of reasons to rediscover Los Angeles’ premier waterfront playground.
Hotel Upgrades
Several of Marina del Rey’s signature hotels are debuting refreshed looks. The 370-room Marina del Rey Marriott recently unveiled a modern renovation with updated guest rooms and amenities. Jamaica Bay Inn, part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, introduced a new waterfront-inspired design renovating all 111 rooms and suites including meeting space, while the 134-room Hilton Garden Inn, Marina del Rey completed updates to enhance comfort for both leisure visitors and meeting groups.
Dining & Nightlife
The local dining scene continues to grow with distinctive flavors and concepts. STOA Wine Bar recently opened, offering curated vintages in a stylish setting by the sea. Family-owned Fratelli Café brings a welcoming neighborhood vibe. NAMOO Korean BBQ delivers a lively dining experience. Sweet treats come courtesy of Bacio di Latte’s authentic Italian gelato, while Coco Beach Bar & Grill adds breezy and beachy flavors with fun sports watching, trivia and karaoke nights.
Wellness & Recreation
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey elevated its luxury offerings with $75,000 in enhancements to its renowned Sisley Spa—the spa brand’s only West Coast location. The resort also upgraded its tennis courts and debuted three new pickleball courts, reflecting the sport’s rising popularity for both guests and group events.
Arts & Activities
Creativity takes center stage with the addition of Bitter Root Pottery at the Boardwalk Shops. Overlooking the marina, the new studio offers private and group pottery classes—perfect for team-building, off-site events, or a relaxing, hands-on afternoon by the water. At Waterside, fitness enthusiasts can experience Solidcore, the high‑intensity Pilates‑inspired workout gaining a devoted following nationwide.
