Denver, CO — Guests passing through Convergence Station can now upgrade their interdimensional experience with the official opening of the executive travel lounge, Sips (with a Z). A full bar of artisanal, custom signature cocktails inspired by classic art deco and irreverent street art elevates an already captivating atmosphere. For the culinary offerings, decadent bites are given an ethereal presentation in the 3,250-square-foot lounge creating a haven of opulence.
Ideal for casual nights, high-end events, or private rentals, Sips (with a Z) is sophisticated and artistic, where you’ll feel as comfortable in a tuxedo as your favorite streetwear. Italian marble, neon lights, lush velvet, back alley graffiti, and classical sculptures all come together to create an exquisite marriage of high and low art.
The executive travel lounge theme continues the motif of Convergence Station as the Quantum Department of Transportation, the site of the cosmic event resulting in The Converged Worlds. Sips (with a Z) reshapes the boundaries of a traditional “bar” setting using art to set the tone of entirely new possibilities.
The original vision of Meow Wolf founder, Matt King and Senior Creative Director, Chadney Everett who, together with Senior Creative Producer, Susie Cowan, brought the space to life. More than 50 artists, designers and technical experts had a hand in its design and conceptualization. The result is a seamless integration of contemporary art and street edginess that connects an era of bygone, avant-garde luxury with today’s modernism. “What I have loved about this project has been the team's collaborative spirit. From partnering in design to executing that last brilliant layer of graffiti, it's been a blast working with these amazing humans,” Cowan says.
Ticketed travelers passing through Convergence Station can experience Earther elegance in the lounge, open Fridays, Saturdays (12pm 12am) and Sundays (12pm-7pm).
For private events and other super special happenings, the lounge will be available seven days a week. Members of the media interested in previewing the space can reach out to Ru Johnson for coverage requests:
