In the near future, two luxury hotels ideal for incentive travel will open near Miyajima island, where the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Itsukushima Shrine” is.
The first is "LXR Hotels & Resorts," a luxury brand by Hilton, scheduled to open in 2028. This hotel will also be situated in an exceptional location with views of the O-torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine. It aims to offer a sophisticated, relaxing atmosphere and a one-of-a-kind stay experience.
The second is "KAI Miyajima" by Hoshino Resorts, scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. "KAI" is a hot spring ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) brand operated by Hoshino Resorts. “KAI Miyajima” will be located in a prime spot overlooking the iconic O-torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine.
